Diane Papan to present $150,000 to the City of San Carlos on Aug. 25

The objective is to support the City’s Safe Routes to School initiative.

On Friday, August 25, 2023 (tomorrow), Assemblymember Diane Papan will present a check for $150,000 to the City of San Carlos and the San Carlos School District to support the City’s Safe Routes to School initiative, according to a press release issued by David Burruto, district director of Papan's office.  . 

The objective of the initiative is to improve traffic and pedestrian safety near local campuses.

The grant is a state budget allocation championed and secured by Assemblymember Papan.  

The check will be presented at the picnic area of Burton Park, 900 Chestnut St, San Carlos, CA, at an event that will take place between 10:00 am and 11 a.m.

At the event, Papan will be accompanied by San Carlos Mayor Adam Rak and San Carlos School District Board President Sarah Cassanego.
