Shakespeare in the Park returns to Redwood City

The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival has announced that their production of the romantic comedy, Much Ado About Nothing, will return to Redwood City at a new location this summer.

Performances of their 40th Anniversary season production will be at Red Morton Community Park, 1455 Madison Avenue, from August 13-28 on Saturdays and Sundays at 4:00 p.m.

No tickets or reservations are needed for any of their Shakespeare in the Park performances. Everyone is welcome to bring their family and friends out to this new venue and beautiful park environment.

Chris Beth Director, Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department said, “We’re delighted to be celebrating the 40th Anniversary production of Free Shakespeare at beautiful Red Morton Park. This active and vibrant community park is a perfect outdoor setting for Shakespeare’s classic comedy. Audiences will no doubt enjoy the central location and the incredible performances.”

COVID-19 safety protocols in place at the time of the performances will be followed and updates will be posted on the Festival website, sfshakes.org.
