Redwood City California Highway Patrol seek witnesses to possible hit and run fatality

Officers with the California Highway Patrol are looking for witnesses to a crash on U.S. Highway 101 after a person died in a multi-vehicle collision early Thanksgiving morning, according to the agency's Facebook page

The traffic incident was one of three that took place on Nov. 25, 2021, where people died, according to previous reporting.

Around 3 a.m., first responders arrived at a fatal, multi-vehicle collision near Belmont at U.S. Highway 101 and north of Ralston Avenue. The crash there lanes, including the eastbound and westbound on-ramps, according to the California Highway Patrol. 

Preliminary investigation indicates the original collision may have been a hit and run.  The CHP Redwood City Area is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect vehicle.
