Shots fired into Mexican restaurant in Redwood City

Several people were injured during a shooting early Sunday morning at Mariscos El Camino.

Several people sustained minor injuries when gunshots were fired into a Redwood City restaurant early in the morning on Sunday, October 3, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

Just before 2:00 a.m., deputies responded to a report of gunfire at Mexican restaurant Mariscos El Camino. Sheriff officials in a news release said that an unknown suspect or suspects fired an undisclosed number of rounds into the restaurant. Deputies collected evidence from the scene, and detectives are following up with victims and witnesses, according to the release. 

Suspects will face charges including attempted murder and shooting into an inhabited dwelling. No information about a possible motive has been released.
