Roads are closed near Woodside on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 29, after a brush fire broke out along Interstate 280 near Edgewood Road at 2:53 p.m. Ten fire engines and three fire prevention units were among the firefighting resources on the scene, according to the PulsePoint app.
Jefferson Avenue and Cañada Road were impacted by road closures. The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office reported that the fire was under control and crews were deciding if they needed to chop down a tree that was involved in the blaze.
Cal Fire's CZU unit posted a photo of the fire provided by PG&E on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
