San Mateo County to open new disaster recovery center in San Mateo

San Mateo County is getting ready to open a new disaster recovery center that will assist residents affected by the recent storms that battered the Bay Area.

The center will operate daily from Thursday, Feb. 9, through Thursday, Feb. 23. It will be located at the San Mateo County Event Center, main parking entrance, at 1346 Saratoga Dr., San Mateo.

Hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., including weekends.

The center will be located in Cypress Hall.

Services will include employment assistance, record replacement, veterans assistance, access and functional needs assistance, information on housing options, referrals to agencies that may offer other assistance and information on Small Business Administration programs.
