Bay Area Cancer Connections is hosting its 21st annual cancer conference on Friday, Nov. 15, at the Oracle Conference Center in Redwood City.
BACC, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to providing personalized support for those affected by breast or ovarian cancer.
This gathering invites individuals diagnosed with breast or ovarian cancer, including those both in treatment and post-treatment, to join a community of support. Alongside patients, medical professionals and community health advocates will participate, exploring innovations in patient-centered care.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Sharing Knowledge and Inspiring Hope.’ According to a BACC press release, this theme reflects their commitment to empowering informed decisions, building community and supporting those in need.
The conference will feature various keynote speakers who will share insights on nutrition, sexual wellness and holistic care during and after cancer. There will also be breakout sessions with doctors who will walk attendees through advances in sleep health, fertility and family building during a cancer diagnosis.
The conference will shed light on the latest advancements in cancer treatments and resources for patients, survivors and caregivers.
“This year’s event underscores BACC’s dedication to increasing access to breast and ovarian cancer support for all and caring for its community through services that are mobile, flexible, free, and responsive to an individual’s needs and life situation,” BACC shared in a press release.
Registration is open through Nov. 12, and tickets are $35. Visit the BACC website for more information or to reserve your spot.
