It's Monday. But you don't need me to tell you that, do you? You've got meetings to run to, documents to go through and people to speak with, so I'm going to keep this short and snappy.
The top story today is a lot like that Zoom meeting link in your inbox that's waiting for your attention. As part of its voter education and outreach plan, San Mateo County will host a virtual public meeting this Thursday to hear from the community. The Microsoft Teams link to the meeting is given in the article.
And in keeping with the spirit of Monday, it comes with a deadline. All special requests for documents, services, devices and accommodations are to be made no later than four business days prior to the meeting. I think that's today.
Anyway, back to work. Just like the beautiful, feisty birds in the photo here, shared by Jerel Crawford, let's hope we find the courage to fight for what's ours this week.
