The Super Bowl returns to Levi’s Stadium for the second time in a decade Sunday, and with it comes a choice for those planning to watch on TV: view it from the comfort of your couch with your own game day spread, or head to a neighborhood watering hole?
With the Super Bowl in the Bay Area this year, many bars and restaurants are hosting watch parties with special additions like buffets, drink specials and discounts, parties with live DJs and more.
Peninsula cities and organizations are also getting in on the football festivities, planning everything from a chili tasting to downtown gatherings. And the big game brings with it big-name events, like Guy Fieri’s Big Game Sunday Tailgate and a Sheila E. benefit concert hosted by 49ers legend Ronnie Lott.
Whether you’ll be seated promptly for kickoff at 3:30 p.m. or you’re just waiting for the Bad Bunny halftime show around 5 p.m., here’s what’s in store for the Peninsula for Super Bowl weekend. (For info on events further south in San Jose, visit sj26.sanjose.org/the-big-game.)
