Her journey in journalism began during her undergraduate years, working on her university’s editorial team and interning at several newsrooms in North India.
At Berkeley, she committed to expanding her skills beyond writing. Over the past three years, she has acquired proficiency in data skills, learning Python and various visualization tools to enhance her stories. Simmer's experience spans a wide range of topics, allowing her to wear multiple hats as a reporter, writer, podcaster, and data analyst.
