Two San Jose men were arrested Tuesday in connection with a January grand theft at a Redwood City motorcycle store, according to Redwood City police.
The theft occurred Jan. 29 at the Cycle Gear store at 2426 El Camino Real, according to the Redwood City Police Department. Investigators said two suspects entered the store, grabbed multiple clothing items, and quickly left without paying, then drove away in a red Subaru Impreza.
A store employee captured an image of the vehicle and its license plate, which investigators later entered into the department’s automated license plate system.
At 12:17 p.m. Tuesday, officers received an alert that the vehicle had been detected in Redwood City. Police found the car in the 1900 block of El Camino Real and conducted a traffic stop.
Three people were inside the vehicle — two men and one woman. Officers identified the two men as the suspects involved in the January theft.
Two San Jose men, ages 33 and 26, were arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of grand theft, police said.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Redwood City Police Department’s non-emergency line at (650) 780-7100.
