Good morning,
Yesterday, we celebrated Juneteenth, a holiday that dates back to 1865 but became federally recognized only last year. It honors the emancipation of hundreds of thousands of enslaved Black people nearly two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation in Galveston, Texas.
The city is asking for feedback on a new park planned for downtown at the library parking lot and Rosselli Garden. For more information and to take the survey, please visit this link.
Stay tuned for the news. (And happy belated Father's Day to all you dads out there.)
