Belmont police said this week that they have made arrests in the 2019 homicide of a 17-year-old Carlmont High School student.
Three out of four defendants were arraigned on Friday, including two in juvenile court and one in adult court, according to the San Mateo District Attorney's Office.
On Wednesday announced the arrests of four people in connection with the shooting death of Mohammad Othman, who was found fatally shot on the night of Jan. 7, 2019, in the parking lot of Central Elementary School on Middle Road in Belmont. Othman was a Redwood City resident.
Investigators determined Othman knew the suspects who killed him and eventually sought arrest warrants for three men and a 17-year-old boy in the case.
Authorities arrested Ruben Gonzalez Magallanes, 23, of Indianapolis; Antonio Valencia, 21, of Concord; a 19-year-old South San Francisco man who was a juvenile at the time of the killing; and a 17-year-old boy from Mountain View, according to Belmont police.
The case remains under investigation and Belmont police are asking anyone with information to call them at (650) 595-7400 or an anonymous tip line at (650) 598-3000.
