A Redwood City resident was arrested in Millbrae Sunday night in connection with a commercial burglary, according to the Millbrae Police Department.

Around 9:25 p.m., Millbrae Police officers arrived at the 200 block of Adrian Road, where witnesses had reported a burglary in progress at a self-storage business. Two men were detained near the scene, including a 38-year-old from Redwood City and a 46-year-old from Millbrae, according to officials.

A man matching the description provided by witnesses fled but was detained after a short foot chase. He was later positively identified by witnesses and found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest, officials reported. A second male suspect, who was detained as he exited the self-storage building, admitted to being involved in the burglary. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Maguire Correctional Facility for booking.

Stolen items, as well as tools involved in the burglary, were recovered at the scene. One victim of the crime responded to the scene and was able to reclaim their stolen property. Investigators are currently working to contact the owners of the remaining stolen goods.
