Nearly 250 adult and youth photographers who live, work or attend school in the 650 submitted 1,141 images to our annual Peninsula Photo Contest. A panel of judges whittled the entries down to 12 winning shots and 12 honorable mentions spanning six categories: Abstract, Landscapes, Moments, Portraits, Travel and Wildlife. From Arches National Park to Yellowstone and Palo Alto to Peru, these photos span subjects and continents, capturing chance encounters, stunning scenery and abstract angles. Nudie Records Showcase: June 30 Local label Nudie Records hosts a night of music at Winters Tavern in Pacifica, featuring Travesura, Kailey Rocker and Underground River. 

Being Alive: A Sondheim Celebration: Through June 30 TheatreWorks Silicon Valley presents a world-premiere revue tribute to the work of the late musical theater great Stephen Sondheim.
