The weather is heating up and so is the events calendar. June is a busy month between the end of the school year and celebrations for grads and dads without even factoring in all the festivities around the Peninsula this time of year, including Pride Month events. Local Pride happenings include everything from parades and live music to a makers fair and Pride Weekend at Filoli. Heather Zimmerman’s guide to Pride has the details on all those events and more throughout the month of June.

If you’re eager to really plan ahead this year, gear up for the opening of Yutori, a Japanese food hub coming to Palo Alto that will include a full-service restaurant serving brunch and dinner, a marketplace, a bar, a cafe and a grab-and-go food section. Created by the team behind Taro San Japanese Noodle Bar at Stanford Shopping Center, chef-owner and Palo Alto resident Jerome Ito says Yutori will fill a “missing element to the area.” Find out more about what to expect at Yutori in Adrienne Mitchel’s food feature.
