Hopkins & Carley has announced the inclusion of three estate planning attorneys: Suzanne C. Farley, Jill K. Ernst, and Joanne J. Lue.
Suzanne C. Farley joins the firm in the capacity of counsel, whereas Jill K. Ernst and Joanne J. Lue have been inducted as associates. The three professionals bring a combined experience of nearly 50 years in the estate planning domain.
Before joining Hopkins & Carley, Farley, Ernst, and Lue were associated with Thompson Welch Soroko & Gilbert LLP. Additionally, Farley and Lue had previously worked at the San Francisco office of Venable LLP. The trio will primarily operate from the Redwood City office of Hopkins & Carley but will also cater to clients in San Francisco.
Suzanne C. Farley specializes in estate planning and tax matters, with experience in family wealth transfers, tax audits, and business succession planning. She is a member of the State Bar of California and has academic credentials from Santa Clara University School of Law, Golden Gate University, and City University of New York.
Jill K. Ernst's expertise lies in family wealth transfers, trust administration, probate law, and commercial litigation. She is a graduate of the University of California at Davis and the University of California, Los Angeles. She has been involved with the South Placer County Estate Planning Council Executive Board.
Joanne J. Lue offers services in estate planning and has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America since 2021. Lue is fluent in Mandarin and holds degrees from Santa Clara University School of Law, the University of San Francisco, and the University of California, San Diego.
Hopkins & Carley's Trusts & Estates practice in Northern California consists of over 20 professionals, providing services related to family wealth transfers and business succession planning.
The firm operates from its Redwood City office, having moved from Palo Alto. The facility occupies a space of 15,000 square feet.
