The Redwood City Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a driver in a fatal hit-and-run involving a cyclist in March. 

The hit-and-run occurred at 9:23 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023, at the 1100 block of Veterans Boulevard near Walnut and Maple streets, police said in a statement.

According to police, the vehicle's driver hit the cyclist and did not stop

The suspected vehicle is a late 1990s Toyota or Honda Sedan that is either gold or white in color. Redwood City Police say they have "very limited suspect information" and no description of the suspect. 

The San Mateo County Coroner's Office identified the cyclist as 54-year-old unhoused resident Manuel Alfonso.
