The Redwood City Pulse, a leading online news source in Redwood City, is currently seeking local bloggers to share their unique perspectives on various topics related to the community. The Pulse is particularly interested in Redwood City-specific blogs that explore personal experiences, news and politics, and topical subjects.
To join the Redwood City Pulse blogging team, interested individuals must fall into one of the following categories: personal expression blogs, news and politics blogs, or topical blogs. Bloggers will be expected to post at least once a week, actively respond to reader comments, promote their blogs through social networks, and adhere to libel, copyright infringement, and self-promotion guidelines.
The Redwood City Pulse emphasizes the importance of truthfulness and a respectful tone, requiring all bloggers to verify their information and refrain from engaging in personal attacks. Bloggers will be free to express their opinions, advocate, and write in their own voice.
Featured bloggers will be paid $80 monthly, assuming a weekly blog post, and considered independent contractors. The Pulse aims to attract a high number of readers to its blogs, with a goal of 500 views and 10 comments during the first month of posting.
Bloggers who wish to maintain anonymity or use a pseudonym must discuss and obtain approval from the Redwood City Pulse before starting their blog. Registration may be required for those wishing to comment on a blog.
