Good Morning, Redwood City!
The Redwood City School District has recently changed its COVID-19 policy. It will now be group tracing instead of identifying individual close contacts who may have been exposed to the virus. So instead of notifying individuals who may have been exposed, groups of exposed students, such as classmates, teammates, or cohorts will be notified by districts if they may have been exposed. The district said the recommendation comes from the California Department of Public Health.
Many of y'all were following the sad story out of Palo Alto yesterday about the Stanford nurse who went missing on Tuesday. Last night, his family and all of us learned that his body had been found in Fremont. His cause of death was not made public Thursday night. Special thanks to the Palo Alto Weekly for their reporting on that.
Did you know that Redwood City had its own rodeo at one point? Now, I'm from Texas, so I think I know a thing or two about rodeos. There's a joke in there somewhere about this Redwood City rodeo being my first rodeo… on the West Coast, anyway. If someone remembers that rodeo, please share photos with me. I'd love to see them!
Signing off,
Michelle
