Good morning, Redwood City!
It's going to be a short week for many of us. City Hall and all administrative buildings will be closed on Nov. 23 and 24 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Redwood City libraries will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and will remain closed through the end of the week.
Zoppé Italian Family Circus is still in town. If you haven't checked it out, you still have time. They are here until early next week.
In case you missed it, the city of Redwood City appointed Jeff Schwob as the new community development director after serving as interim director. The community development and transportation department has a budget of $20.89 million, which represents 6.25% of the total operational budget, according to the recommended budget for fiscal year 2023-24. The department has roughly 67 full-time employees, accounting for 11.4% of all city employees.
