Redwood City Library Foundation is hosting its third annual Upscale Pub Crawl in honor of Banned Books Week.

The event, held on Oct. 9, begins at the Redwood City Library and will include various Redwood City establishments offering discounted drinks, with some small bite snacks available.

Each establishment will identify two banned books and be available to discuss and answer questions about them and the dangers of book bans.

The local businesses involved include Alhambra, Angelicas, Blacksmith, The Bottleshop, CRU Wine Bar, Dasbierhauz, Ghostwood Kitchen, Gourmet Haus Staudt, Hidden Tap and Barrel, Little Green, LV Mar, Nighawk, Quinto Sol, Vino Santo, and Banned Book Headquarters offering a free glass of wine.

The early bird tickets, available before Sept. 13, will be $40, with an optional T-shirt for an additional $5. After that, tickets will be $50.

Tickets can be purchased on their Eventbrite.

The Redwood City Library Foundation funds initiatives include Bridging the Digital Divide, Career Online High School, Makerspace in the Downtown Library, Traveling Storytime, and more.
