Palo Alto band Polly and the Morphics describes itself as an eclectic mishmash of sounds including blues, folk and rock (the name is a play on polymorphism, meaning the condition of occurring in many different forms).

The harmony-rich group features Christina Neilson on lead vocals, Mike Lynd on bass and vocals, Bill Overton on guitar, dobro and vocals, and Todd Armstrong on drums and percussion.

They’ll perform at the Museum of American Heritage, wrapping up this year’s summer concert series (yes, it is still officially summer until the equinox, people!). Wine and light refreshments will be served.

Sept. 12, 7 p.m., the Museum of American Heritage, 351 Homer Ave., Palo Alto; free for members/$10 for nonmembers; moah.org/calendar.html.
