The Redwood City Parks and Arts Foundation (RWCPAF) is calling for volunteers to support its summer community events and assist the Redwood City Parks and Recreation Department. The Foundation hosts a variety of activities each summer and relies heavily on volunteer support.

The Foundation has listed several volunteer opportunities on its website, RWCPAF.ORG/volunteer, and encourages residents to participate. Volunteering is highlighted as a fun way to meet new people while supporting community events.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  1. Kindness Ambassador @ Magical Bridge Volunteers will serve as Kindness Ambassadors at the Magical Bridge Playground in Red Morton Park. This opportunity is open to individuals aged 18 or older, or parent/child teams.
  2. Bucket Brigade @ Music on the Square Volunteers will join the Bucket Brigade at Friday night concerts on Courthouse Square, collecting donations to keep the concerts free for the community.
  3. Chalk Full of Fun, July 3 & 4 Volunteers are needed for various roles at the chalk festival, including set-up, sorting art supplies, and supporting artists. Positions are available for individuals aged 12 and older.
  4. Pub in the Park Volunteers will serve locally brewed beers at this monthly event from June through September. Positions are open to individuals aged 21 and older.
  5. Family Campout, July 19 & 20 Volunteers will assist with organizing tasks, food preparation, and food service. Volunteers aged 12 and older are welcome and receive complimentary admission to the event.
  6. Picnic en Blanc, August 10 Volunteers can participate in planning or help with set-up, check-in, and drink service. This opportunity is available to individuals aged 21 and older and includes free admission.
  7. Oktoberfest Volunteers will help serve German beers and enjoy the event, which takes place over five days on Courthouse Square. Groups are encouraged to participate.
  8. Dia de los Muertos Volunteers will support chalk art and craft activities at this event hosted by Casa Circulo Cultural. All ages are welcome to participate.
  9. Salsa Festival Volunteers will work at various beverage booths during this lively event. Positions are available to individuals aged 21 and older.
