Doggie Protective Services, a nonprofit animal rescue organization based in the Bay Area, is hosting an auction to raise funds for the medical and general care of rescued dogs and cats.

An auction preview event will take place at the Grand Bay Hotel in Redwood City on Sunday, March 2, from noon to 4 p.m. The preview offers attendees a chance to see all the items in person before the auction begins. The event will also feature a meet-and-greet with actress and influencer Kristina Hagan at 2 p.m. Guests can have their photos taken by photographer Gustavo Garza with friends, family, Hagan or DPS Rescue’s puppies.

According to a press release from DPS Rescue, the organization has been dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats of all breeds, ages and sizes since its incorporation in 2001, helping over 19,000 animals find homes to date. The organization also stated it is actively working to clear local shelters to accommodate animals displaced by the recent Los Angeles fires.

The online auction, set to take place from March 9-16, will feature hundreds of donated brand items that “will directly support DPS Rescue’s mission.”
