American Legion Post 105 will host its annual Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at Courthouse Square, 2200 Broadway.

The event begins at 10 a.m. with a car show and display of military vehicles along Broadway between Hamilton and Middlefield streets. The ceremony starts at 11 a.m. and will include a moment of silence recognizing Armistice Day — when World War I hostilities ceased on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

Major General Stephen Hager, U.S. Army (Ret.), will deliver the keynote address. Veterans from all service branches will be honored as the Newark Wind Symphony performs the Armed Forces Medley, joined by Redwood City’s Kennedy Middle School band.

The Marine Corps will host a Toys for Tots drop-off box for unwrapped toy donations. Coffee and donuts will be available for early arrivals while supplies last, and the Marine Corps League will provide free hot dogs.

Street closures will be in place around Courthouse Square, including Hamilton, Middlefield and Marshall streets. The ceremony is free and open to the public.
