Law enforcement arrested a woman last week who allegedly embezzled nearly $300,000 from a San Carlos-based technology company she worked for, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s office said Monday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies started looking last June into a report of embezzlement at the company. Following an investigation that spanned several months, detectives identified the suspect as Tina Cabudoy, 50, of Santa Rosa.

On March 20, deputies along with officers from the Santa Rosa Police Department executed an arrest warrant and Cabudoy was arrested without incident.

She was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of embezzlement and a bench warrant.

There were no further details how Cabudoy allegedly committed the crime.
