A gas station in an unincorporated area of Redwood City was robbed earlier this week, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to the Arco gas station in the 1800 block of Woodside Road on a report of an armed robbery that had occurred in the street.
According to investigators, two people were standing outside of the gas station when they were approached by two suspects and robbed of their personal belongings. The suspects made threats and displayed a firearm during the robbery.
Both suspects are described as being in their early 20s with long hair, and one of them also had a small mustache. They were last seen fleeing on foot towards Santa Clara Avenue.
The Sheriff’s Office believes this is an isolated case. The two victims were not injured.
