The Redwood City Police Department said Wednesday it had responded to a report of a person being shot earlier in the morning.
The department said the incident took place near Fernside Street and Hastings Avenue. Police said it was an “isolated incident” and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Police did not provide further comment.
