The Redwood City School District released the results of its 2023-24 annual financial audits in its monthly newsletter on Feb. 21, revealing the district’s overall finances for the school year “to be in good shape.”

The audits, conducted by Eide Bailly LLP, were presented to the Board of Trustees during its Feb. 5 public meeting.

The review looked at money from two school improvement programs. The first, Measure T from 2015, set aside $193 million over eight years to fix and upgrade all 16 schools in the district. The second, Measure S from 2022, is expected to raise $298 million to improve classrooms, science labs, school buildings and safety.

Measure S was previously challenged in the Superior Court of San Mateo County by Christopher Robell, a retired CFO, who claimed that the ballot label for the bond was misleading.

According to the superintendent’s update, the money from both programs was managed appropriately and all spending was tracked.
