Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
|
Good morning Redwood City,
Have you been to the courthouse square recently? If not, you might be surprised to see that a giant meteorite has smashed into the Art Kiosk at the museum. Well, not really. The art installation is a collaboration between the Redwood City Improvement Association and Fung Collaboratives. Artist Fernando Escartiz is working hard to have the installation ready for the big reveal on Thursday. So go check it out. Here's the back story.
Speaking of the San Mateo County History Museum, did you know that visitors get in every first Friday of the month for free? This Friday, the museum is open to the public without admission fees. So you have no excuse not to know about the Rancho de las Pulgas deal.
In other news…
I took a peek at the city's website the other day and saw that many of you have been submitting redistricting maps. I was ecstatic when I saw how many there are now. But there's still more work to be done. On Wednesday, the Advisory Redistricting Committee invites the public to comment by calling into the Zoom meeting.
LOCATION: Members of the public may access and observe the meeting by joining Zoom: https://redwoodcity.zoom.us/j/98707480568
Here is the agenda where you can also see more maps and written public comments that have already been submitted for review. Should Redwood Shores be its own district? Let me know!
Signing off,
Michelle
