Construction on the San Mateo County Sheriff's John Arrillaga Sr. Headquarters Center is set to begin this month, with street closures in downtown Redwood City expected for the next year.
Bradford Street, between Warren and Winslow streets, will be closed to vehicle traffic for a year, according to a San Mateo County Sheriff's Office press release.
Closures won't affect the Maguire Correctional Facility, with in-person visits and day-to-day operations continuing as usual.
Employees and members of the public will be able to access the front lobby of the correctional facility through temporary pathways. People with disabilities will be able to park on Warren and Bradford streets.
Construction on the new headquarters will be at 300 Bradford Street in downtown Redwood City.
