The candidate filing period for the general municipal election for the three city council member positions has opened.
Candidates now have the opportunity to file nomination papers for districts 2, 5, and 6 until Aug. 12.
Each position’s term length is a maximum of four years. This is the first election that is “by district” for these three districts and there will be no eligible incumbents.
