Good morning, Redwood City!

City Council Meeting

Council members will hear a report on housing initiatives the city is working on to address the homelessness. In a study session, city staff will address how they plan to use the $1.8 million that has been allocated for homelessness initiatives. Redwood City has the highest number of unhoused individuals in the county, 22% (245) of the 1092 people counted during a one day survey earlier this year. That number increased from 221 in 2019 and 94 in 2017. In 2015, the city had 223 unhoused individuals.

More news to come.
