COVID-19
Pulse editor Michelle here… I hope everyone had a great weekend and is staying healthy. The County is urging everyone to continue to be wary of COVID-19. Per the County, community transmission "has been significant in the region." Officials are urging residents to get vaccinated against the coronavirus AND the flu, which is always a problem around this time. If you're already vaccinated, get boosted! I didn't get the latest round of COVID-19 booster shots, and I came down with COVID!! This is the first day I've been vertical since Wednesday, and I'm already regretting it. I'm joking. But COVID is not a joke.
City Council
Harbor View is back on the agenda tonight as the city council will vote on whether to adopt the amended general plan and sign a contract with the Jay Paul Company. The project is years in the making, having gone through many iterations, and some say it's time to take action to approve it. Others say the city should reject the plan. Read a little more on this here. We'll have a more updated story on this later this week.
Gun store ban lawsuit?
The city also has a special session tonight before the regular city council session. This is due, in part, because of a letter it received from the Second Amendment Foundation after the city council voted to ban gun stores temporarily. Read the story here.
More news incoming! Have a great day!
Michelle
