Good afternoon, Redwood City!
Hoping for the best, prepping for the worst
With tomorrow’s storm predicted to be as bad or worse than the last one, the entire Bay Area is bracing for the deluge. Roughly 2-4 inches of rain are expected in the valleys, and weather officials have warned of mudslides, rising creeks and other possible threats to life.
Residents are encouraged to do all necessary prep today—before the rains start—including clearing gutters, stocking up on sandbags (at the Public Works Yard, 1400 Broadway) and signing up for emergency alerts. The fire department has also warned residents not to drive through or walk through pooling water for any reason. Check out all 10 winter storm tips here.
What did you experience during Sunday’s storm? Send me a message, I’d love to hear from you: lworthington@rwcpulse.com.
We’ll be watching closely, stay tuned and stay safe.
Your reporter,
Leah
