Good morning, Redwood City!
The light rain you're seeing outside will slowly, throughout the day, transform into a torrential downpour. Be safe and stay dry. If you don't need to go out or drive, don't. "Turn around, don't drown"
If you're still looking for sandbags, Mr. Kyaw over at the city public works department said that while he is seeing record-breaking demands for sandbags, there is plenty of sand to go around. Sandbags can be picked up at the address below.

Speaking of sandbags… the county has already spent $64,000 on 24,000 sandbags, which have been distributed to cities. This storm will cost San Mateo County major bucks, which is why the board of supervisors yesterday declared a local state of emergency.
Supervisor Slocum said that in his ten years serving on the board, this was the first time he'd ever declared a state of emergency for a winter storm.
"It's not common in my memory," he said. A last-minute decision, the item wasn't even on Tuesday's board meeting agenda and required a "special vote" to add it, he noted. "But it was absolutely necessary to do, I believe."

Please stay safe
