Good morning, Redwood City!
Storm patrol
I hope you all made it through the night intact! Last night I was in an Uber with a man who said this is the most rain he’s seen in his 28 years of living in the Bay Area. Pretty incredible.
There are certainly some impacts being felt around the Peninsula this morning. A downed tree on the Caltrain tracks has stopped transit between Hillsdale and Millbrae stations, and an alternate forms of transit are being offered between the stops. Trains are now running hourly and making ALL local stops.
Downed power lines have also caused some major outages in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, with the largest on being in the Emerald Lake Hills where hundreds are without power.
