Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Good morning, Redwood City!

Some perspective

I think it’s fair to say that I’ve gotten pretty friendly with the folks at the National Weather Service over the last couple of weeks.

Last week we reported that Redwood City had received 16.9 inches of rain for the current water year, which started on Oct. 1. With things looking a bit sunnier, I thought I’d check in with our local meteorologists to see where we stand, water-wise, today. Here’s the latest…

Since the start of the 2022-2023 water year, Redwood City has received 21.06 inches of rain. With one exception (20.32 inches in 2018-2019), that’s more rain than we’ve gotten during any of the last 12 years.

Pretty incredible, huh?

Speaking of rain… thank you to everyone who filled out our survey about how the storms were affecting them. We’re hoping to share the results of that soon.

Enjoy the blue-ish skies today!

Your reporter,

Leah
