Redwood City police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred Friday evening and are asking for the public's help.

On Friday night, police shut down the north lanes of Veterans Boulevard between Maple and Walnut streets after a bicyclist was hit by a vehicle, which did not stop after the cyclist was hit, according to police

The hit-and-run occurred at 9:25 p.m. at the 1100 block of Veterans Boulevard, police said in a statement. 

The cyclist was confirmed dead after arriving at Stanford Hospital, police said Sunday. 

Anyone with any information on this incident is being asked to contact the Redwood City Police Department.
