Redwood City is hosting a "laundry to landscape" workshop with the Bay Area Water Supply & Conservation Agency to teach you the basics of water harvesting. Sign up for the class here. The class starts Saturday at 9 a.m. at 1400 Broadway and is open to the public. Registration closes at 4 p.m.
Shifting gears… In November 2021, then-Sheriff Carlos Bolanos ended ICE transfers after much public scrutiny, ensuring that people who finished their jail sentences wouldn't be turned over to customs agents. On Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors will vote on whether the County should end its cooperation with ICE and decline to help ICE with detainers, transfers and other requests. Supervisors Pine and Canepa will introduce the ordinance.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, at 9:00 a.m. at the Board Chambers, 400 County Center, 1st Floor, Redwood City. The meeting is also accessible via Zoom: https://smcgov.zoom.us/j/95218768018
