Good morning, Redwood City!
Redwood LIFE, the massive life sciences campus in Redwood Shores, is back on the agenda Monday for a study session. Redwood City residents are invited to comment and provide feedback on the 84-acre, 20-building office park.
The City Council will meet this evening in a hybrid session. Some consent items of interest include approving up to roughly $4 million for multiple on-call engineering firms and consultants to help city staff on city infrastructure projects. The support services for each firm are between $100,000 – $400,000 with three-year terms. The city could also extend the projects at additional cost. The projects that require consulting assistance include: Sewer and storm drain pump station design, grant applications, Blomquist bridge conceptual design and the El Camino Real Corridor safety project, to name a few.
News…
On Saturday, a woman died, and a 14-year-old boy was severely injured after a motorist drove north on the southbound lanes of Interstate 280 into oncoming traffic, allegedly crashing into a black BMV. The wrong-way driver was also injured and arrested. It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
