The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative has opened its application process, allowing San Mateo County organizations to access grants of up to $200,000 over two years and receive resources to bolster leadership and organizational development in pursuit of a more just society.

Organizations across San Mateo County are encouraged to submit applications online through Monday, June 12, at 5 p.m. PT. 

By partnering with local groups, the CZI Community Fund aims to amplify community voices and provide opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds and income levels to shape their lives and communities.

Andrea Jones, Director of Bay Area Giving, expressed CZI's continued commitment to fostering a healthier and more equitable San Mateo County by supporting and uplifting local nonprofits.

Since its inception, the CZI Community Fund has awarded grants to over 130 local organizations.

The CZI Community Fund, established in 2017, focuses on improving access to essential components of social and economic well-being, such as housing, healthcare, education, job and career skills, and other social supports.
