The Domini Hoskins Black History Museum and Learning Center in Redwood City is inviting the community to a unique Halloween celebration on Friday, Oct. 27.
The event, which will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 10 p.m., is open to all ages and will take place at 890 Jefferson Ave. will offer more than just traditional Halloween festivities, according to a press release by Domini Hoskins Black History Museum and Learning Center. The evening promises a range of activities, including a free raffle and a costume contest. Refreshments and treats will be served throughout the evening, according to the release.
Guests are asked to bring one new, unwrapped toy or children's book instead of paying an admission fee. The donated items will contribute to the museum's Annual Toy Drive, benefiting local children in need.
NFL alumni, including John Payne, President of the NFL Alumni Association, will make special appearances.
Adding an educational twist, the museum is also offering Haunted History Tours, giving guests the chance to explore exhibits while hearing spooky stories from the past.
The Domini Hoskins Black History Museum and Learning Center is committed to preserving and celebrating the history and contributions of African-Americans.
