Good morning, Redwood City!
Hometown Holidays
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Well, it will tomorrow if you head over to Courthouse Square, which is set to come alive with festive cheer during the annual Hometown Holidays event organized by the Downtown Business Group. The event, which is scheduled from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, promises an array of activities, rain or shine. There will be a parade, live entertainment, carnival rides, and a special appearance by Santa Claus, offering opportunities for memorable holiday photographs. The festivities will culminate with a Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:45 pm, complemented by traditional carol singing.
And don't forget, the holiday train is rolling into town. The Holiday Train, which is illuminated with more than 75,000 sparkling lights, will stop in Redwood City around 6:10 p.m. Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and their entourage, which includes Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, will disembark for about 20 minutes to meet children and take photos. If you have new, unwrapped gifts, you can also bring them to the stations where Caltrain workers will be collecting them.
