Good morning, Redwood City,
Last night, The Redwood City Council voted to increase water rates by 12.2%, assuming that residents use only 14 centum cubic feet (CCF). But if residents use more than 14 CCFs, which is more likely, their rates could be a bit higher. Redwood City purchases its water from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission for the 21,000 unique customers in the city. While the SFPUC has raised its rates by around 27% since 2018, the city hasn’t in the past five years.
