Molly Tuttle and her band Golden Highway took home their second consecutive Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album. The Palo Alto-raised musician and the band won for their album “City of Gold” at the 66th annual Grammy Awards ceremony on Feb. 4.

Tuttle and Golden Highway won their first Grammy last year in the same category for their album “Crooked Tree.” Tuttle also received a Best New Artist nomination in 2023.

“City of Gold” was released last summer. The album’s 13 tracks, mostly written by Tuttle and Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show, made music out of life on the road. The songs were “inspired by Tuttle’s near constant touring with Golden Highway and their growth together as musicians and performers,” according to a post from their label, Nonesuch, with the album “highlighting each member’s musical strengths.” The track “Yosemite” also features a guest appearance from Dave Matthews.
