The Redwood Symphony, under the baton of Maestro Eric K., will perform a special concert at the Cañada College Main Theatre in Redwood City on Saturday, April 6
The show begins at 8:00 p.m. and features Gustav Holst’s “The Planets.” According to a flier, the performance aims to provide audiences with a musical exploration of the solar system, highlighting each planet’s unique characteristics and emotions.
The evening will commence with a rendition of Ellington’s “The Giggling Rapids,” followed by a performance by Bay Area violinist Julian Brown, who will take on Glass’s Violin Concerto. Maestro Eric K. will also offer insights into the evening’s musical selections during a pre-concert talk at 7:00 p.m.

Redwood Symphony is known for its commitment to contemporary compositions and classical masterpieces, attracting some of the finest musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area. The concert is part of the orchestra’s broader initiative to engage and educate audiences through innovative programming.
