The American Legion Post 105 Redwood City has elected new leadership for the new year.

The newly elected officers are Cmdr. George Smith of Redwood City Post 105, who will serve his fourth term as commander of Post 105; President Peggy Toye of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 105, who will serve her sixth term as president; Director Andrew Trapani of the American Legion Riders Chapter 105, who will serve his second term; and Cmdr. Patrick Lucy of the Sons of the American Legion Post 105, who was elected to his first term in office.

George helped re-establish the American Legion Auxiliary, reconstituted the Sons of the American Legion, and established the American Legion Riders Chapter 105.

Toy concurrently serves as the ALA California Girls State Chair for Unit 105, a member of the Post 105 Public Relations team, and the editor of Keep Me Posted, Post 105’s newsletter. For her volunteerism, Toye was also awarded the Patriot of the Year by the San Mateo County Veterans Commission.

The American Legion Post 105 Redwood City, established in October 1919, is a service organization that serves veterans, active-duty military members and their families, and the general public.
