Good morning, Redwood City!
Photo of the Day

This Monday, I had the privilege of sitting in the Fox Theatre listening to Dolores Huerta — someone my grandpa, a farmworker in Southern California, once knew — and hearing her tell her own story of sacrifice and courage was deeply moving and grounding. We also wrote about it. You can read that here.
Another story we have for you today is one about CalFresh benefits. Redwood City officials are urging residents facing reduced CalFresh benefits during the federal shutdown to seek free meals and groceries at local sites, including Fair Oaks Community Center, St. Francis Center, Catholic Worker House and other neighborhood food programs.
And finally, be safe out there, as strong winds might give way to the possibility of thunderstorms.
